After nearly 30 years of service with IBM, Tom retired in November 2024.  While at IBM, Tom held numerous global and North America leadership positions.  He played a key role in launching and developing IBM’s global cybersecurity business.  As a member of initial North America sales leadership team, Tom created and led the technical sales organization of more than 200 cybersecurity architects and specialists responsible for sales progression and customer success.  Upon retiring from IBM, Tom founded CYBERNEO, LLC.

Tom is a member of the Board of Advisors at the Deville School of Business and Adjunct Professor at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, teaching both cybersecurity and business classes.  He is recognized as a dynamic and inspiring teacher with an ability to bring practical and professional experiences to the classroom, translating real-world practices into actionable insights for the students.

Tom earned his MBA from Kent State University and his BA from Muskingum College. He recently completed the Data Security and Privacy Policy Certificate Program at Cornell University. Additional certifications earned are Business Analytics: From Data to Insights Program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Business and Industry Insight Program at Harvard University.
